OmniMax Roofing™ systems
will be offered in a variety of colors and styles. |

The roof covering’s bottom surface is comprised of a
readily releasable fastening material. The upper or overlapped portion of
its top surface is composed of readily releasable fastening material. (See
illustration below.) These systems could also be made in rolled form which
would cover an entire row or multiple rows of area at once.

To fasten the roof coverings to the roof, an underlayment comprised of fastening
material is applied to the roof deck in a similar fashion as commonly used
felt paper.
Once the foundation layer has been applied to the roofing deck, the roof
coverings
are attached to the foundation layer.
-
The alignment and installation of the roof coverings uses the traditional
shingle installation method, however the roof coverings are not penetrated by
nails, staples or other fasteners and are simply placed on the foundation
layer.
-
For example measuring and laying a chalk line. Placing the roof coverings in
alignment with the chalk line and then repeating this procedure while
overlapping each additional row.
-
The readily releasable fastener immediately
attaches the roof coverings to the roof and subsequent rows of roof
coverings. This
eliminates the nailing or stapling procedure and makes for decreased
install time, while providing the roof with a non-penetrated exterior
water barrier and an interlocking roofing system, providing for a more secure
form of attachment.

Various scale views
of variations in the designs and configurations available with hook and
loop fastener materials. These are just a few of the many
configurations currently available.
Other configurations could be developed
for specific use with this roofing technology.

Also by eliminating nails and/or staples it can make it easier to
implement flexible thin-film solar technologies
